PhotoBoss Meet

I recently went to my first Portrait Meet here in Boston! I was unsure of what to expect, and how it would help my mission. I met some great photographers and models at the event, and we spent a gloomy but very fun afternoon in the Boston Public Garden.

Ross, (Instagram @rossthephotoboss & rossthephotoboss.com), organized the PhotoBoss Meet, and that is actually how I found out about the event. I was scrolling through my Instagram feed, and found it on his profile the day before, and figured I should go. At first, I was a little nervous because I didn’t know anyone there and wasn’t sure exactly how it would go. I am so glad that I did go because the photos are incredible, and it’s been really nice to set up some future projects. I am a strong believer in collaborating with people because we can create so much magic in our globalized world, and you never know how you can help each other.

Below are the photos from some of the different incredible photographers, and I am so looking forward to working with them again. Make sure to check them out on Instagram, and their awesome work! PS. We used #shootlikeaboss and #photobossmeet so you can see some other work too!

These photos above were taken by Sangeeta (Instagram @sangeeta.pix and @sangeeta.people)! She is such a sweetheart, and a positive spirit. I really enjoyed shooting with her!

Erik Torres (Instagram @ebitphotos) and I connected super fast because he told me how much he liked my outfit (automatic brownie points, Erik!)! I really appreciated his compliment, and I loved using the umbrella! Foraging the leaves together was a real bonding moment for us! He is super creative, and a really nice person.

Allie D. (Instagram @allie_dee) was the best photographer to start the Portrait Meet with! She is really sweet, and I thought she was thoughtful in the way she shoots. Really clean, crisp and clear photos, and I really love the attitude in these ones.

Roberta Cappa (Instagram @robertacappa391) is an Italian firecracker! Immediately felt connected with Roberta, and we got along so well! She is full of life, and I love her enthusiasm (and photos, of course!)

Josey (Instagram @unknownassassian & jfarahphotography.wordpress.com) and I didn’t get too much time together, but she took some fun shots! I love how she captured the colorful background with my neutral outfit.

Wasyl (Instagram @wasyshoots & @wasdurashot) and I spent quite a bit of time shooting, and we got some pretty cool shots! Lots of fun ideas, and he has some really cool street photography!

Kervin Germain (Instagram @kg_portraits_and_photos) was so fun! Herby, (@chefcharmant) one of the models, was shooting with Kervin by the pond, and Roberta and I interrupted to see if we could get some photos together. Kervin told Herby to annoy me, and these are the fun shots we took! Basically Abercrombie status at this point!

Adarsh Ravi (Instagram @boywiththehuskytattoo) took some INCREDIBLE photos. I love every single one, and they are so just wonderful. When I saw his photos of myself, I was speechless! He is so nice, and just moved to Boston from India. Check out his website, adarshravi.com to see his other portraits and fantastic pictures in general.

Overall, it was so nice to see how everyone had their own style, and projected that through the process and the turnout of the photos. I look forward to meeting up with them again, and collaborating. Boston provides such a great way for creative people to meet, and help each other succeed. I put everyone’s Instagram handles on each of their names so definitely give them a follow or check out their awesome work.

Until next time!
XOXO
Emma
